Thank you SO much for today's performance! I was there with my two sons and it was a huge hit with the preschoolers and adults! My 4-year old son and I went to the library after the performance and he was doing his version of the moves all over the floor - so much so that we had to leave. What a perfect demonstration with very age appropriate involvement and explanations, too! Please let the performers know how much we enjoyed and appreciated them coming to PKDW to share their beautiful art form with us.
Take care,
Mary Michael Pringle
I have been attending body brasil for several years and Ive never had a better workout. Ive been taking exercise classes and going to gyms for years and this is so much better. I actually look forward to waking up early and going. The class is always different and the music is always good. Antonio is a great instructor and knows how to get people in great shape!

ABADÁ-Capoeira performed in our office during our annual Diversity Week celebrations. Our attorneys and staff thoroughly enjoyed the energetic performance and were impressed by the strength and gracefulness of the dancers. It was one of the highlights of the week. We were so inspired by the dancers that we hope to offer ABADÁ-Capoeira classes in our office in the future."
Hello Cravo and staffs
Thank you very much for everything.
I could have great time in SF. Well, I wish I could be in SF little bit longer.
I realized that I was super lucky to be Marcia's student. I love ABADA SF. Everytime, I visit SF, you guys treat me as a family, and I could feel I'm ABADA capoeira SF family.I love the theme for year 2010's Jogos and Batizado song which makes me as a member of ABADA capoeira.
Again, thank you very much for everything. Hopefully, I will see you guys soon
Love from Japan and muito AXE!!!!!!!!!

Hello,
I was visiting the Bay the weekend of the Jan 14th and had the chance to take the Community Capoeira class with Graduado Papagaio. I just started practicing capoeira about 4 months ago; everybody was so welcoming and it was nice to see the training style at a different school.
Thanks and I hope to drop in whenever I am in town again!

Just a shout out to say how great the events were this weekend [at the 2010 Jogos & Batizado]. I was impressed (as always) by the inspiring energy of the group. One of the things I love about Abada is how it is truly a diverse community - I looked around the room and saw women & men, young(er) and old(er), people of all colors, and people with special needs. I don't think there are many places that do this in San Francisco, and do it with such grace and inspiration that keeps the community coming back for more. Kudos to you all for creating such an amazing place to do such an amazing art form. Also two-year old Alex watched intently and later showed us his "kicks" at home.

"ABADA-Capoeira Arts Center of San Francisco performed during our pre-game entertainment for The Oakland Raiders at the Hispanic Heritage game. We were very impressed with their performance. Through the use of live music our fans were able to experience a true performance of Brazilian Martial Arts. Overall, they were a pleasure to work with and we look forward to working with them again".
"The [Morning Basic Capoeira] class was great. I really appreciate the alternative for those of us who cannot make it on time for night training. Thank you ACSF!!!"

"Antonio is an AWESOME teacher. He manages the split group of advanced / beginners pretty well and he's good at catering the practice to our skillset. It's also nice to have the advanced students with the beginners.....it's good exposure for the newer students to train with the experienced ones and get feedback and tips."

"Urban Youth Gardening Conference" - Arts Education Performance - June 2010
Hi Lisa and all the wonderful people at Abada,
Yes, your group not only met our expectations, you exceeded them!! : ) The performance was fabulous, and the youth attending the conference LOVED IT! The performance was very entertaining and VERY high energy. I really appreciated that your group involved the audience, and invited them into the capoeira circle to “play” with your expert troupe members!
Everyone in the troupe was professional, welcoming, and very friendly! The Abada capoeira performance was a dazzling way to open our youth conference! Thanks again!!
All the best,

Hello, my name is Reid Vinson by the name of “Pantera Negra” (my Capoeira name for black panther).
I have had only positive experiences with my Capoeira training at ABADA. It teaches camaraderie, respect, how to read body language, and how to anticipate, and discipline (both mental and physical). The community is great, and all the people have one thing in common: we all have been taught at this great school and ABADA Capoeira has changed all of our lives.
Capoeira has impacted my life by introducing me to the culture of Brazil, and teaching me discipline. The discipline is both mental, and physical. Capoeira helped me gain mastery over my body, making me better at dance, climbing, other martial arts, and various other physical activities. The mental discipline is useful for extreme focus, or the exact opposite, meditation. Capoeira has many other uses.
Capoeira has a two very helpful effects. One, it decreases stress, two, it keeps you fit.
It has given me the confidence to do what I would like, and not need the approval of the majority, not fit in, for Capoeira is where I fit in.
ABADA gives children and teens a remarkable experience. ABADA works very hard to keep this school, and its spirit alive.
