The batizado week is always filled with new memories and serves as a time for reflection. Why do we teach capoeira? And why do we emphasize movement in general?
The simple answer is that it’s fun! The longer answer is that we know communal physical practice can unite and uplift diverse populations. And that’s why we’re inviting you to the free kickoff class for Mission: Workout – Exercise for Everyone, on Sunday, November 2nd.
We conceived of Mission: Workout as a class for neighbors of all ages, shapes, and fitness levels to come together to move, sweat, and support each other. Taught by personal trainer and capoeira teacher Renata Barrella (aka Professora Iguana,) our focus is on feeling good and getting stronger—together. Join us in launching this awesome new program.
