Classes are held live on Zoom. Pre-enrollment and advance payment are required. New students to ABADÁ-Capoeira San Francisco must complete an online release form—please contact the office if you need assistance. About Professor Ferrugem
Professor Ferrugem has studied and practiced capoeira since 1997. He has trained with Mestre Camisa, founder of ABADÁ-Capoeira Worldwide, since 2009 and has taught throughout Brazil for over 20 years. He is a four-time champion of the ABADÁ-Capoeira Jogos Mundiais (2019, 2021, 2023, 2025), a three-time champion of the Jogos Brasileiros, and a remarkable seven-time champion of the ABADÁ-Capoeira São Paulo State Games.
Based in São Paulo, Brazil, Professor Ferrugem tearegularly teaches, coordinates capoeira-based social projects in the communities of Abataguaçú, Vila Mariana, and Perpétua Socorro, and travels internationally as a teaching artist and competitor.
