We’re excited to share that we’ll be celebrating our capoeira kids at their very own Batizado Week this year—a special moment to acknowledge their growth, dedication, and joy in the art. And joining the festivities will be visiting artist Mestrando Diguinho from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Kids’ capoeira workshops will be held June 3rd and 4th, during regular kids’ class times, giving our young capoeiristas a chance to learn, play, and prepare together. The batizado performance and ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 6—get it on your calendar!
Adult/teen workshops with Mestrando Diguinho will take place June 4, 5, and 7, and a community discussion and an artist roundtable.
