Registration Open: Kids’ Batizado & Workshops for Kids, Teens & Adults, June 4-11, 2026
We’ll be celebrating our capoeira kids at their very own Batizado Week this year — a special moment to honor their growth, dedication, and joy in the art. Joining the festivities will be visiting artist Mestrando Diguinho from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!
It’s going to be a high-energy week for everyone. Kids’ capoeira workshops will be held on June 4th and 6th during regular class times, giving our young capoeiristas a chance to learn, play, and prepare together. The batizado performance and ceremony takes place on Sunday, June 7th, and is free and open to the public — so mark your calendars!
Adult and teen workshops with Mestrando Diguinho will run from June 6th through June 11th, and will include a community discussion and an artist roundtable.
