Professor Prego is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After moving to the United States and residing in the New York metropolitan area for a few years, he relocated to San Francisco in 2016 to train and work under the guidance and support of Mestra Márcia Cigarra.

Professor Prego brings over twenty years of experience in the art of Capoeira to our Bay Area community. He is well known for his ever-present smile, and accompanying energetic character. He is still a part of the ACSF teaching and performing artist staff but In 2019 he joined Instrutora Ciranda, the founder of ABADA Marin, and is now teaching youth and adults at  ABADÁ-Marin.
