Get ready to hit the streets with us at the 2026 San Francisco Carnaval Grand Parade! We’re calling on adults and youth alike to bring capoeira to the parade — music, movement, and pure energy. New or experienced, it doesn’t matter; just show up ready to move. Roles range from performers and contingent monitors to banner bearers and water attendants. Every single person makes it happen.
Now in its fourth decade, Carnaval San Francisco brings together many cultures in one shared spirit of creative expression. This two-day celebration showcases the very best of Latin American and Caribbean cultural arts and traditions — and this year’s Grand Parade features a 60-contingent lineup with 3,000+ artists representing the rich heritages of Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Bolivia, Cuba, Peru, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Colombia, Trinidad & Tobago, Guatemala, El Salvador, and more.
