Our school-year session kids’ classes are in session through the end of May. And kids can join at anytime throughout the session—so enroll them today!
Our classes offer children the chance to grow their physical, social, artistic, and leadership skills. Working independently, with partners, and as a group, students learn basic capoeira movements, their practical application, and how to “play” capoeira by using these movements in improvisational games with one another. Within the class, youth are also introduced to instruments, songs in Portuguese, and maculelê, a traditional Brazilian folk dance performed with sticks.
