CARNAVAL GRAND PARADE 2024
Share capoeira with all of San Francisco at this year’s Carnaval Grand Parade on Sunday, May 26th. It’s the Mission District’s signature event—the largest multicultural celebration on the West Coast—and brings nearly half a million people from around the world to San Francisco. If you’re interested in parading in our contingent Sunday morning, talk to Mestra Cigarra at our school and stay tuned for details!
The Carnaval San Francisco theme for 2024 is “Honor Indigenous Roots”.
Schedule and Route
The parade officially starts at 10am. ABADÁ-Capoeira SF Lineup #8 It will get into position around 9am and start moving to 24th and Harrison at 9:30am. The route is approximately 1.2 miles – from 24th and Bryant, along 24th to Mission Street, then turning right onto 15th Street, officially ending on 15t Street and Harrison. If the parade starts on time we should be done by 11am.
