DESCRIPTION:Batizado Graduation and Troca de Cordas \nSunday\, December 6 | 1:00–3:00pm \nPublic entry: suggested donation of $10 at the door. \nStudents arrive 12:00pm\nDoors open 12:30pm \nThe Sunday ceremony is open to the public\, and will open with a performance featuring top level artists from around the world. During the ceremony\, beginning capoeiristas are formally welcomed into our school: they play their first jogo (game) with a master or high-level instructor\, receive their first cord\, and earn their apelido (nickname). More experienced students may also receive a new cord during the troca de cordas (“changing of cords”)\, recognizing their continued growth and dedication.
