ABADÁ-Capoeira SF is offering a fun, engaging day camp Monday–Friday, throughout the strike. A safe, active place for your child while schools are closed!
THE DETAILS
Dates: Monday–Friday (during the SFUSD strike)
Time: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Ages: 5–12 years old
Flexible enrollment: Attend one day or the full week. Drop-ins are welcome but must arrive by 8:45 am.
Day rate: $75
5-day rate: $350 (if strike ends, refunds for unused days a $10 administrative fee will be deducted from your refund.)
Discount Access: Free and reduced cost access is available to anyone in need. Please email Sonia at info@abada.org to request no or low-cost registration.
* Extended care: Before care from 8:00 AM and aftercare until 5:00 PM available upon request for $20/hour.
ABOUT THE CAMP
Camp is full of movement, music, creativity, and community. Campers spend the day:
* Learning Capoeira and maculelê movements
* Playing Capoeira instruments and rhythms
* Singing songs in Portuguese
* Playing Capoeira-based games that emphasize teamwork, leadership, and cooperation
Campers also explore performance skills, writing, reading, artwork, and creative play. Students learn acrobatic and self-defense movements and use them to improvise, collaborate, and create together.
