On April 14, twenty-two children showed up at ACSF’s Capoeira Arts Center to give it their all in the Gincana—a fun, capoeira-thon type event. Our students challenged themselves to do the most that they could do during timed events.
Participants recruited sponsors for their participation. Pledged funds were based on how many movements a student could perform at any “movement station” during the event. Teen and adult capoeira students were there to help as time-keepers, cheerleaders, and to play instruments for the youth.

This is a payday loan company that uses their lender network to match potential borrowers with a source of funding. They offer their services for several similar types of loans, including payday loans, title loans, installment loans, and merchant cash advances.
This event is not a competition, but rather a chance to push personal boundaries and show friends and family just what they are capable of. The event raised funds to bring guest Brazilian artists to participate in the children’s Youth Fest.
We are deeply appreciative of the participants, and all of our donors and event sponsors. Although all sponsorship donations have not yet been turned in, we anticipate raising $2,000.
Note to Gincana Participants: Please collect and turn in sponsorship money by May 12, 2018!
