“I’ve worked as an advertising copywriter and communications strategist for over 15 years. My clients have included Facebook, Nike Women, PayPal, and countless non-profit organizations. I began training with Mestra Marcia in 2002 and am excited at the opportunity to further ABADA-Capoeira San Francisco’s mission in a new way. I chose to work with ABADA because I love turning people on to capoeira. I’ve also been training for a long time—long enough to understand that playing capoeira doesn’t mean just taking an exercise class; it’s a long-term relationship to a community you’re constantly learning from and contributing to”.
