2026 Carnaval San Francisco

Join the ABADÁ-Capoeira San Francisco parade!
Celebrate with us at Carnaval San Francisco, the city’s premier multicultural extravaganza that brings together communities from around the world. Grand Parade – May 24, 2026
Rehearsals begin in April and will be held at our Capoeira Arts Center. They are open to all students, friends, and family—no Capoeira experience is needed! We will be confirming our parade spot very soon.
This year’s theme for Carnaval San Francisco is “La Copa del Pueblo” (The People’s Cup), celebrating fútbol as a game of community, creativity, and joy that belongs to everyone.
Inspired by the passion described by Carlos Valderrama and by the ancestral ball games of Indigenous peoples across the Americas, the theme highlights play as a powerful form of cultural expression, connection, and shared celebration. Long before modern soccer, Indigenous cultures practiced sacred ball games that strengthened community bonds and carried deep cultural meaning.
In that same spirit, Carnaval transforms the streets into a living field of unity, where music, dance, and tradition bring people together. La Copa del Pueblo invites everyone to celebrate the joy of play, the richness of culture, and the collective spirit that emerges when communities come together.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of something truly special. Let’s make magic in the streets, the ABADÁ-Capoeira SF way!
